I think that they have their hearts in the right place. Feminism is meant to be a movement that works towards equal standing between the two genders. So, by that logic, mens rights activists and feminists should be one in the same right? I think the issue is that many mens rights activists see woman as oppressors or a class that is favored by society when in reality there are no true winners in a society that places such importance on sex. Both genders struggle in their own right, and both suffer in society. Advocating for mens rights is fine as long as the activists don't blame their subjugation on unrelated people and issues.
men’s right activists make me laugh like our system wasn’t created at the hand of men , woman should have the right to vote and catogrising all woman as “woman don’t want to fight and mandatory service” is complete bull , many woman nowadays join the military and also voting is not just todo with fighting for a country every vote in politics matter as it paths the ways for younger generations and how they love , voting is more it’s also about the economy, laws and ways to protect people who have not footing in todays society
Before we get onto Male issues woman do not make up any meaningful percentage of combat participation. Majority of these positions are noncombat related anyways but I dont like arguing that point at all because its hypocritical. Women do have the right to vote! congrats, especially considering at the time you guys protested it! Men are primarily hurt by several institutions, including the courts, police and prisons, the drug and alcohol industries, the sports industry, schools (females getting boosted scores in stem to make up for under rep making it unequal) for example. Women have issues too, but I find it very odd how eager women are to defend their oppressions in a time when Caucasian women might be the lease appressed class of humans.
I think this is kind of wild. I believe women get treated far better societally, but for less then pure and innocent reasons. If a middle aged man were to for example have an issue with his car hes stuck on the road. Take the female and she is far more likely to get help. The education system has been documented to be EXTREMELY bias towards females to promote them going into stem careers by bolstering their average grades. I think women have it worst with almost everything, but socially they are a protected class. If I were to say this in person I would risk getting assulted by a female and would not be societally allowed to defend myself for example.
What do you think society is sir? From this, I think that you're saying that women are an oppressed class that have it worse than men in almost every aspect, but your examples to counter this point are a bit confusing. Women are being pushed into STEM fields because they have been pushed out both through past legislation that did not allow higher schooling for women and through biases education systems that were under the belief that women were not 'smart' enough to do well in STEM fields. Women's grades are not being bolstered to aid this, more so, STEM programs aimed towards young women are being more commonly implemented in schools.
I agree that its important to make sure women are in all fields, but This is sexism.Just becuase i was unlucky and is a male, doesnt mean someone with worse grades than me should get the job
I heard they support men not having paying alimony at all or alone after divorce (as main breadwinners), so I agree with them on that because if women are allowed to kill babies (even when they're not hard cases such as Mom's health is on the line, very bad genetic abnormalities in offspring, incest & rape) because we're supposed to value their freedom above the lives of unborn babies... well, if they say so, then the government should also value us men's freedom to just leave the household and not pay alimony.
Those are 2 different situations though. A man's money and a woman's body are not comparable. The baby is completely dependent on the mother. Alimony is the government's attempt to make the balance more fair when a father is leaving a mother and child. Of course, it is a flawed system because it can be manipulated, but I don't think that the right to choose whether or not to GIVE BIRTH is related at all to the right to leave one's family without any financial support.
What rights do men not have that women don't, exactly? What are men's rights activists really vying for? To me, it sounds like a meaningless, contrarian hissy fit made to offend people of a more delicate temperament.
I have a lot of issues with feminism today, and its followers, but meninism is even dumber, far far dumber. At least feminism has some clear goals like closing the wage gaps.
As a man im legally not allowed to have an abortion in my state either lmao. In all seriousness though systemic issues do exist for men and they could actually be striving towards proper goals. Assuming one gender has it worse is fairly immature because you cant be both and know (lets not debate that part). Distress patterns are systematically installed on males throughout our lives. Men are primarily hurt by several institutions, including the armed services, the courts, police and prisons, the drug and alcohol industries, the sports industry, and schools for example.
I feel like the " Mens rights" foundation was built from the patriarchy, where most men have felt that they don't get equal convictions when it comes to false claims of rape or divorce settlements leaning towards women more. Which is fair to advocate for. I believe that us as feminists need to ally with men in order to find solutions for their problems. And for Mens rights activates to ally with feminists to put an end to the degrading and disregarding of a womens humanity on a daily basis. There are problems that we can solve for each other in order to get equal treatment from all sides of society. Whether it be in the court or on the street.
Obviously our problems stretch further than just the justice system and sleazy cat-callers on the street. But the point is we could advocate and ally with each other if we really wanted to.
how is it pointless and unnecessary to speak up about prblems in the society that harms either men or women? without femenism women wouldent have the rights we have today, right now femenism is about more than leagall rights but also sociall rights, and sociall norms that can potensially be harmfull. modern femenism is working for sociall equality for both men and women, wich is nesassary.
false women did not want the right to vote because it came with mandatory fire fighting service and draft services at the time. unironically we have continued to oppress ourselves to give them "equal" footing, which tends to be far above men in every institution of society. But hey ig u cant buy a 200 dollar round trip plane ticket to murder ur child or whatever lmao
this is completely wrong , i’ll admit there is a small group of “feminist” who stand for the wrong thing and contradict the true meaning and values of feminism and in turn that ruins its for the majority. true feminist isn’t about equality for men and woman it’s about equity and feminism work for both male and female , before you say it’s bad for society maybe reads some books watch lectures of feminism.
I feel like mens rights and femenism (classic not the kill all men bs femenism) should now join forces an become egalitarianism because mysogyny and misandry are still prevalent in today's society and in order to fully understand each other, we should empathize and talk abt each others problems. Toxic masculinity is very real and affects the man more. Reason being that if he is forced to be stoic, then he will not know how to process emotions, thus causing trauma and anger. He could end up hurting others or himself. And as for the justice system... It screws people either way. It depends on the judge and everyone is biased. Men seem to be demonized and women seem to be victimized but that is a general assumption and the world is crazy sometimes and everyone thinks different thinks and everything is not what it seems. Long story short, every human deserves the same right and people need to be more empathetic towards each other.
right, okay but what rights are men denied??? the LGBTQ+ community has been oppressed for centuries, men haven't... And still, LGBTQ+ people are fighting for their rights because in many countries it's STILL illegal to love who you wanna love and be who you wanna be, and their basic human rights aren't being respected. Men certainly don't have that problem
@Bárbara García Well gay men are more likely to be victims of violent hate crimes than lesbians. This is particularly due to the notion of "You cant hit a woman but you can bit a man". It is easier for lesbians to stay closeted because of the double standard of "if a girl is masculine, shes a tom boy and if a man is fem , he os gay (based on stereotypes). Other stigmas that might better fit the narattive is that if a girl is close with her female friend then they r just besties but it isnt the other way around for men. If you want more examples of lesbian erasure look at the subreddit r/sappoandherfriend. All in all, everyone from every background is screwed regardless due to social stigmas. Also gay men and trans men still may face issues that cishet men face is society but their sex assigned at birth or their sexuality doesnt make them any less of a man.
@Bárbara García I forgot to mention that I agree with u 100% but that comparison isnt faor because there are men in the LGBT community as well such as myself. I really do hope for a better future for all and that everyone can live in peace.

I am a man; sometimes I relate to how it must feel to be treated in a bad way by people.
I am a women, all the time I have to please people to be treated in a good way.
no judgement...

fairly indifferent, feminism is and always has been bad for society. but men's rights is also pointless and unnecessary.
most silliest thing I ever read

Hi, There are no "men's rights", there are individual rights. By the principle of individual rights, everyone has equal rights, regardless of gender.
